Let’s work together!

In the 14 days before you even come to camp, let’s do this together to minimize risk:

Don’t come to camp if you are:

  • Feeling unwell or running a fever

  • Have been in close contact with a person with COVID-19 in the past 14 days

  • Have had COVID-19 in the past 10 days

Follow CDC travel guidance

Consider avoiding:

  • Movie theaters

  • Gatherings in poorly ventilated areas

Heightened Health Screenings

  • before entry into camp

  • For both campers and staff

Common Questions

Here are some answers to your questions regarding what Summer 2021 is going to look like..

Updated May 7th, 2021

Will campers and staff be required to wear masks during camp?

We will provide each camper with a neck gator that can be used as a face covering. Masks don’t feel like camp, but they have been part of camp culture before they were needed as face coverings. Campers can wear them around their neck, on their wrist or even in their hair when they are in their cabin groups and will not be covering their faces. Face coverings will not be required when interacting with their own team.  They will only be used when physical distancing from other teams is not possible.  They will be utilized by staff when unable to maintain physical distancing with campers outside of their cabin group.  Keeping our campers safe is our priority, and we can keep the spirit of camp alive by doing this. If you prefer sending your camper with their own face covering, you are welcome to do so.

Will my camper have to be tested to be able to attend camp this summer?

No. Campers will receive a health screening questionnaire via email prior to arrival that needs to be completed and returned within 24 hours of camp. All campers will undergo a temperature check upon arrival. Should a camper present a fever of 100.0 or higher on the initial check, the camper will be asked to visit a secondary screening area. Confirmed presence of a fever of 100.0 or higher will necessitate cancellation or rescheduling of a camper’s visit to later in the summer. Additionally, all campers and staff will be required to have daily symptom checks during camp.

What will camper drop off and daily pick up look like?

Camper drop-off and pick-up will look a little different this year. We will be providing a drive-through camper drop-off and anticipate it taking a little longer. You will follow signs and directions upon arrival. We are grateful for your patience as we work to make camper drop off and pick up as quick and efficient as possible.

What are your procedures for counselors?

All staff will complete a health screening and undergo routine symptom checks. Counselors will also operate in cabin groups for the summer and have limitations during time off.

What if a camper or staff member is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness?

We will isolate any camper or staff exhibiting COVID-19 like symptoms immediately, caring for your child until the parents or guardians are notified and can pick up their camper Campers. Staff will be sent home.

What happens if my camper or my family is potentially exposed to COVID-19 while at camp?

Once we are made aware of a positive case at camp, we will notify every camper family from that week. Staff who had direct contact with the positive case will be quarantined and tested.  Family members from the affected team should follow CDC guidelines for possible exposure.

What additional safety measures are you putting in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19?

Increase hand washing and additional hand sanitizing stations

Adjusting activity schedules based on cabin groups to eliminate or modify large group programming

Signage posted to reinforce important behaviors

Daily symptom checks in addition to our regular health screenings

Added camper education about good hygiene practices
